Position Overview
As the Equipment Operator, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the flow of materials and inventory while assisting with shipping and receiving duties, ensuring efficiency and safety objectives are achieved.
Key Accountabilities
Locate materials and supplies by pulling and verifying materials and supplies listed on production orders.
Accurate and complete record keeping as required by management.
Move and deliver the material requested by fabrication and production.
Load and unload incoming and outgoing materials and products.
Move materials to and from loading docks, delivery trucks, storage areas, and manufacturing areas.
Prepare goods for off site shipment by identifying their location, then pulling, packing, and loading them
Operate forklifts, cranes and other equipment to move materials.
Maintain working area in a clean and orderly condition.
Maintain safe work environment by observing and following standards and procedures; complying with regulations and codes.
Ability to work overtime and/or weekends if required.
Ensure that all business activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Fero Code of Business Conduct.
May perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
Qualifications
1-year warehouse experience.
High school diploma or equivalent
Certified Forklift Operator with crane experience
Basic reading and math for data entry
Computer skills together with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
Physical Requirements
Must stand for long periods, with frequent lifting up to 50lbs.
Able to work in all weather conditions including outdoors.
Bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting, tight spaces and ladder use
Wearing PPE such as safety boots, safety vest, safety glasses and gloves.
