Our management team is united by our shared mission: to bring state-of-the-art, sustainable and cost-effective infrastructure to the most vulnerable populations around the world.

In all of our operations, our extensive expertise in modular and prefab construction, project management, engineering, sustainability, finance and operations guides Fero in achieving this mission.

Management team

  • A serial entrepreneur, Sabrina founded Fero in 2020 after completing the sale of a large private road-building company she founded in 2017 that achieved over $80 million in annual revenue. Sabrina also spent 10 years as counsel at two large firms on Toronto’s Bay Street. During her tenure there, Sabrina supported a large portfolio of clients across diversified industries on various transactions, including capital raises and M&A exceeding $1 billion.

  • A seasoned corporate and commercial lawyer, Geoff has more than a decade of experience at a premier Canadian business law firm and as the Chief Legal Officer of a TSX-listed organization with an international footprint in a highly regulated industry. He has significant experience with M&A, corporate finance and sophisticated commercial transactions for private and public organizations. Geoff has provided strategic advice to executives and boards on a variety of critical issues, in areas such as commercial strategy, litigation strategy, shareholder activism and corporate governance.

  • Sabrina brings over 15 years of human resources leadership experience, partnering with business leaders to effectively align people and business strategy. Throughout her career, Sabrina has had a keen focus on continuous improvement, leadership and organizational development, strategic planning and execution, and talent management.

  • Alex co-founded Fero in 2020, with extensive knowledge and deep operational expertise in overseeing diverse operations (IT, logistics, marketing, sales, finance and more) and supply chain management in large construction and manufacturing. In addition, he is skilled at designing and implementing business strategies to help achieve organizational performance and growth goals.

Board of Directors

  • An experienced clinical epidemiologist and hospital/health system executive, Adimika brings her expertise in population health, public hospitals, health equity and access to healthcare to quality care for vulnerable populations. She serves as the founding Executive Director for HealthTech for Medicaid (HT4M). HT4M is a collaborative convening of payers, providers, policymakers and innovative entrepreneurs collectively advocating for health equity and improvement of the Medicaid program on a national scale.

  • With more than 30 years of executive financial and operational experience, Kim has demonstrated extensive accomplishments in many areas. She has held C-level positions in public and private enterprises, and has delivered shareholder value through M&A transactions. Currently, she participates on several for-profit and not-for-profit boards in healthcare, technology and energy sectors as director and chair of audit committee. She is a member of the executive committee of the Ottawa chapter of the Institute of Corporate Directors, and is a strong advocate and advisor for female technology entrepreneurs.

  • Paul is an award-winning serial entrepreneur in the life science and innovation sector. He is currently the CEO of Insight Medbotics. Paul was also the former co-founder and CEO of Profound Medical Inc. (Nasdaq: PROF), a company developing a unique, non-invasive, MR-guided approach to the treatment of prostate cancer. Paul has served as an independent consultant to both provincial and federal governments and hospitals on innovation strategy and implementation.

  • Major-General (Retired) David Fraser is one of Canada’s most accomplished leaders in both the public and private sectors. He is the President of AEGIS Six Corporation and sits on several boards. He served for over 31 years with the Canadian Armed Forces. Joining the Second Battalion Princess Patricia Canadian Light Infantry (PPCLI), his career is highlighted by numerous operational tours around the world. He has served in command at every rank from lieutenant to major-general on operations commanding Canadian and multi-national troops. For his leadership, he is one of the most decorated officers Canada has produced. He has been recognized for his leadership by the United States twice (Legion of Merit and Bronze Star), NATO, the Netherlands, Poland, the Atlantic Council and Canadian Defence Academy as a Vimy recipient. He is the recipient of the Commander of Military Merit, the Meritorious Service Cross and Meritorious Service Medal from Canada. David Fraser was the first Canadian general to have under his command United States troops while he served as Commander Regional Command South in Afghanistan under the United States Coalition. He led the transition from the US Operation Enduring Freedom to the NATO ISAF coalition. Canada was entrusted as lead nation for this operation and received many international accolades for its results attesting to MGen (ret’d.) Fraser’s skill, diplomacy and experience.

  • Mr. McNaughton is currently Executive Vice President, Industry Relations and People Experience with Woodbine Entertainment. Prior to joining Woodbine, he served in public office for the Province of Ontario for 12 years. Most recently, Monte was Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development from 2019 to 2023. Previously, he served as the Minister of Infrastructure from 2018 to 2019. Between 2011 and 2023 Monte was an elected Member of Provincial Parliament.

  • Victoria Mancinelli is the Director of Public Relations, Marketing and Strategic Partnerships for the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA). Through the establishment of strategic partnerships, her role continues to advance equity in the workplace, empowering opportunity and championing women’s causes. She works with all levels of government, community and industry partners to strengthen Canada’s workforce with a significant focus on empowering opportunities for youth and underrepresented communities. She sits on various boards and committees that strengthen our economy and all aspects of community-building. Victoria also holds numerous recognitions for her role in advancing the representation of women in construction.

Special Advisors

  • Mr. Godfrey is the Chairman of Postmedia. Previously, Mr. Godfrey served as Executive Chair, President and Chief Executive Officer of Postmedia, President and Chief Executive Officer of National Post Inc. Mr. Godfrey currently sits on a number of corporate boards including as Chairman of Bragg Gaming Group Inc., Lead Director of RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust, Interim Chairman and Lead Director of Cargojet Inc., and is Vice-Chairman of Baycrest Centre for Geriatric Care. Mr. Godfrey served as President and Chief Executive Officer of the Toronto Blue Jays baseball club from 2000-2008, and spent 16 years with Sun Media Corporation, eventually taking the role of President and Chief Executive Officer. He also served as Chairman of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation from 2010 until 2013.

    Mr. Godfrey has a distinguished background in public service having served a record four terms over 11 years as the Chairman of the Municipality of Metropolitan Toronto. Mr. Godfrey is the founder of The Herbie Fund at the Hospital for Sick Children and also established The Paul and Gina Godfrey Initiative for Genomic Medicine at SickKids.

  • Maria has over 20 years of senior leadership experience, serving as the Chief Financial Officer of both privately held and public companies. Most recently, Maria was the CFO of MDA (MDA.TSX) a space technology company, and for the previous 12 years was the CFO of ATS (ATA.TSX), a global Canadian industrial automation company with ~$1.4B in revenues, and 4,500 employees in North America, Europe and Asia. Through her various roles in profitable and growth-oriented companies, Maria has gained extensive experience in M&A, capital markets, operations, strategic corporate finance, governance and compliance.

  • A globally recognized leader in sustainable design and development, he co-authored Cradle to Cradle: Remaking the Way We Make Things (2002), widely recognized as a seminal text of both the sustainability and circular economy design movements. Previously, William was chairman of the World Economic Forum’s Meta-Council on the circular economy. He has also served as advisor on sustainability, circular economy and design of products and facilities for companies such as Ford Motor Company, Gap, Google, Herman Miller, Hero MotoCorp, Proctor & Gamble, Starbucks, Unilever and Walmart.

Medical Advisory Board

  • Dr. Ian McGilvray completed medicine at McGill University in 1993 and entered the general surgery training program at the University of Toronto that same year. During his residency, he undertook graduate studies in Dr. Ori Rotstein’s laboratory and obtained a PhD in cell biology. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in 2001. After a clinical fellowship in transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery at Toronto General Hospital, he began his appointment at University Health Network in 2003. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Surgery at the University of Toronto. His clinical focus is devoted to transplantation, with an interest in complex hepatobiliary oncology. His research centers on diseases of the liver, particularly immunobiology of the liver, and the use of nanomedicine-based therapeutics in liver disease. He is Director of Research for the Multi-Organ Transplant (MOT) program at the University Health Network.

  • Dr. Hack is a practicing family physician in Burlington, Ontario, and the Chief of Family Medicine/Hospitalist Medicine at Joseph Brant Hospital. He is a passionate leader and innovator, and has a relentless pursuit of excellence in customer service and healthcare delivery. He is particularly interested in the intersection between primary care and acute care, and in making the resulting patient transitions as seamless as possible. He presented to the Romanow Commission on Healthcare in Canada in 2002 on developing a long-term care insurance plan for Canadians and creating a continuum of healthcare delivery for aging Canadians. This vision has stuck with him over all of these years as he helps to structure a healthcare system that provides the right care to patients in the right place by the right providers. Ending hallway medicine and supporting patients and families is something that he dedicates his administrative work to on a daily basis.

  • Julian Bailes, MD is a founding member of the Brain Injury Research Institute, and Professor and Chairman of the Department of Neurosurgery at West Virginia University School of Medicine. Dr. Bailes is a recognized leader in the field of neurosurgery and both the short- and long-term impact of brain injury on cognitive function. Dr. Bailes has over 100 scientific publications concerning various aspects of neurological surgery, including three books on neurological sports medicine, and performs editorial duties for a number of medical journals. Dr. Bailes is the former team physician of the Pittsburgh Steelers and has been a team physician in either the NFL or NCAA Division I for 20 years. Since 1992, he has been a neurological consultant to the NFL Players’ Association (NFLPA), which has supported his research on the effects of head injuries on professional athletes. He is the Medical Director of the Center for Study of Retired Athletes based at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.
