Position Overview
As the Line Supervisor, Production, you will be responsible for the operational supervision of a team of employees involved in production work assignments while ensuring quality, efficiency and production objectives are achieved.

Key Accountabilities

  • Supervise a team of employees involved in production work that may include machine operation, fabrication and equipment and material movement, as directed by a Production Manager.

  • Coach and create a successful positive team environment.

  • Review production schedules, processes, specifications, and related information with the Production Manager.

  • Plan, assign, and direct work, take corrective action, administer the progressive discipline process as needed, address complaints, and resolve problems.

  • Assist in designing production processes that maximize efficiency and reduce waste.

  • Organize work by observing and studying work assignments, drawings, diagrams, and specifications.

  • Assist in developing production standards in cooperation with production management and project management.

  • Prepare material and equipment lists.

  • Train staff for new processes and provide instructions and manuals.

  • Manage processes for documentation and preparation of production reports.

  • Monitor and ensure all quality, efficiency and production objectives are achieved.

  • Assures necessary equipment, personnel, tooling, and materials are available.

  • Work proactively to ensure deadlines are met.

  • Recommend and implement measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, worker performance and quality.

  • Demonstrates leadership and involvement in the implementation of all continuous improvement activities.

  • Conducts accident reports and investigations as per Fero’s policy.

  • Identifying workplace safety hazards. Follow all company Health and Safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends if required.

  • Ensure that all employees and production activities are performed with the highest ethical standards and in compliance with the Fero Code of Business Conduct.

  • May perform other related duties as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Experience in the construction industry.

  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.

  • 2+ years’ experience leading teams.

  • Proven ability to build and lead a fast-paced and high functioning team.

  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.

  • Technical aptitude, ability to read drawings with knowledge of MS Office applications (including SharePoint, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word) and Fieldwire.

Physical Requirements

  • Must stand for long periods, with frequent lifting up to 50lbs.

  • Able to work in all weather conditions including outdoors.

  • Bending, crouching, kneeling, lifting, tight spaces and ladder use.

  • Working at heights.

  • Wearing PPE such as safety boots, safety vest, safety glasses and gloves.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
