Position Overview:

As a highly skilled Quality Specialist, you will bring extensive experience in construction quality management, compliance, and continuous improvement. Be adept at developing and implementing robust quality assurance frameworks to ensure adherence to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and client specifications. Recognized for deep subject matter expertise in construction materials, processes, and risk mitigation strategies, driving excellence in project delivery and safety.

Key Accountabilities

  • Documentation & Reporting: Prepare of inspection test plans, production task lists, audit reports, and compliance documentation based on customer approved designs.

  • Risk Management: Identify, assess, and mitigate quality-related risks.

  • Process Optimization: Lead continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects and enhance efficiency.

  • Project Kickoff Participation: Engage actively in Project Kickoff meetings to align project goals and expectations.

  • Consultation with External Consultants and/or Customers: Liaise with external consultants and customers to guarantee that products manufactured comply with drawings and the applicable provincial or national building codes, standards and regulatory requirements.

  • Production Team Collaboration: Work intimately with the Production team to ensure that drawings are reflected in the product manufactured.

  • Cross-Departmental Liaison: Serve as the key point of communication among Quality, Design, Project Management, and Manufacturing teams, facilitating smooth project progression.

  • Ethical Standards and Compliance: Uphold the highest ethical standards in all business activities, adhering to the Fero Code of Business Conduct.

  • Health and Safety Adherence: Comply with all health and safety regulations and procedures to maintain a safe work environment.

  • Flexibility in Role: Be prepared to undertake related additional duties as assigned to meet the evolving needs of the organization.

Qualifications

  • Possession of a technician/technology diploma or a university degree in Engineering, Architecture, Mechanical & Electrical (M&E), or related field.

  • A minimum of seven years of professional experience, specifically focused on construction.

  • Strong understanding of architectural design and construction practices, with experience with modular construction as an asset.

  • Strong knowledge of provincial and National building codes.

  • Ability to work on multiple projects concurrently while meeting deadlines.

  • Proficient in utilizing Microsoft Office suite, Teams, and Bluebeam/Bluebeam Studio for project management and collaboration.

  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with a strong focus on attention to detail.

  • Ability to work overtime and/or weekends if required.

Pay: $75,000.00-$95,000.00 per year
