Mining

Remote, but never
far from help

Mining, oil and gas operations are a different kind of remote work—often taking place in isolated mountain valleys or the furthest reaches of the Arctic.

At Fero, we understand the unique challenges of this industry. From harsh climates to challenging terrain, our specialized, self-contained mobile units offer turnkey healthcare and infrastructure solutions that can withstand it all.

Flexibility that fits in everywhere

Mining, oil and gas sites are communities in their own right. With Fero’s mobile medical units, your operation can add clinics, patient rooms, operating theatres and, with enough space and access, a modular field hospital—to support the care of your crews and neighboring communities as well.

One advantage? Avoiding transporting injured workers to off-site hospitals that may be quite some distance away. Our units allow you to stabilize injuries at the site itself. Each unit comes equipped with any medical devices needed, plus full pressurization control, decentralized HEPA-filtered HVAC systems and medical-grade aluminum construction, making for easy disinfection and added comfort.

Weather the storm

Each unit we build can withstand the extreme conditions found where mine sites operate: Arctic temperatures, scorching heat, high altitudes, wind, rain, snow and ice. All of our units are fire retardant with high flash points for added protection.

Plus, they come outfitted with heating and cooling systems to ensure a high level of comfort for your crews after long days on the job. For added safety, you can control the pressurization of our medical units with the flick of a switch, ideal for quarantining workers where airborne illness occur.

We go where you go

We design for optimized mobility. Capable of being delivered by ship, rail or road, our units can reach you almost anywhere you can imagine operating.

Rapid construction and deployment means we can deliver units to exploratory sites across all seven continents on a timeline that keeps your costs down. And when they’ve arrived, setting up your modular site requires little else in the way of machinery: we’ve already done all the heavy lifting.
